“The Sahara Desert made me feel alive again. I was at peace with myself and with nature. I lost all anger inside of me and found love. I fel in love with me once again.”
My life has been shaped by adversity from a very young age. Experiences that included trauma, loss, illness, addiction, domestic abuse, bereavement and other significant challenges have given me a perspective that has influenced both who I am and how I approach life.
Those experiences taught me an important lesson: while we cannot always choose what happens to us, we can choose how we respond. Our past, circumstances and environment may influence us, but they do not have to define us.
Throughout my journey, I have developed a deep interest in understanding people, resilience, personal growth and the factors that drive our decisions and behaviours. Learning to better understand myself brought clarity, self-awareness and a greater sense of purpose. It also helped me build stronger relationships and gain a deeper understanding of others.
Today, I am passionate about sharing my experiences, continuing to learn, and encouraging meaningful conversations around personal development, self leadership, wellbeing and resilience. My hope is that, through sharing my story, others may recognise the potential they have to create positive change in their own lives.
