Sahara Dunes Trek 2019

Sahara Dunes Trek 2019

November, 2019, i’ll be undertaking a 6 day, 5 night trek in the Sahara desert. During most days, i’ll be trekking 6 hours in 30-40 degree heat, whilst camping out during the night, in what i’m being told, most likely will be near freezing conditions. No drama whatsoever!

I decided to do this all within a 30 minute time frame, when i seen the challenge posted on the UK Sepsis Trust website. Prior to this, it was just about doing a few things that would challenge me mentally and physically. I had already walked around Brecon Beacons in Wales, and had in my diary, Snowdon and Ben Nevis. My charity page was already set. The charity was UK Sepsis Trust . After seeing the dunes challenge and the required fundraising, i had already raised the required amount, BOOM, it was ON!!. All i had to pay for was my flights and additional items like foods etc, which they then provide

So, why UK Sepsis Trust? My mum died in January 2016 after contracting sepsis in December 2015. She was the bravest woman i will ever get the pleasure of knowing. Sepsis however got the better of her. Raising for this Charity is very personal to me and close to my heart. It’ll be the one time i can give back to a great cause. If you would like to donate, please check out my justgiving link https://www.justgiving.com/account/your-pages/Rishi-Thobhani4sheila

If you or any family / friends have been to Sahara and have any tips, please share them with me. I may need them 🙂 Drop me an email or comment

Thank you so much reading,

Rishi
